St. Leonards Hospice York...
SHMS is proud to support its chosen local charity St Leonards Hospice in York.
St Leonard's Hospice is a registered charity caring for people with life-threatening illnesses often, though not always, cancer. Their skilled and specially-trained staff offers in-patient palliative care in a purpose-built unit with 20 beds and day care at the Hospice for people living in their own homes.
The Hospice currently needs to raise 3.3 million pounds every year. St Leonards never makes any charge to patients or relatives. The Hospice is financially supported almost entirely by the generosity of the local community.
