December 2011 - Another manic end to the year...
September to December 2011 has been the busiest quarter for SHMS yet. Working with clients new and old on exciting projects from haunted houses, business growth expo's to Holiday destinations in Israel, our services are as diverse as our clients. Looking forward to the new year challenges of 2012..
We have invested in new digital Yamaha sound desks as well as Mac driven visual systems and software. This will give our award ceremonies a more televised feel with seamless graphics and visuals. We will be producing a comprehensive case study of our first major award ceremony of 2012 for Minster FM radio station in February.
August 2011 - Getting ready for a busy Autumn season...
Preparations are already underway for a number of large events through to December including the Halloween & Bonfire events for the York Maze. This year even bigger and better so watch this space. September to November we have contracted road show events, conferences and award ceremonies including the UK Lions.
SHMS is investing in new truss and winch systems for our indoor stage and venues where flying our lighting and projection is possible. A new mobile nightclub service is also launched with truss around the dance floor, with a large PA system and intelligent lighting programmed to give that 'club' feel in any venue. Investments in new LED lighting in our commitment to BS8901.
June & July 2011 - No time for updates...
Conference production for 5 clients including Nestle and FNE, in June with no slow down into the Start of July. Regular contract work with Minster FM and Burn Hall Hotel. Looking forward to a quieter time in August to prepare for the autumn season.
Exciting discussions with clients for events in 2012 already including a glitzy stage system and extensive lighting for a large marquee event and a 4 day festival near York. More details when we have them, happy holidays..
May 2011 - Lots going on...
Another busy month with conference production for the shop managers of Age UK & NYCC in York. Installation and consultation services for York Maze, supplying sound monitor and control equipment for their function Room. Contract services including a tourism roadshow across the south west of the UK and live camera to 2 large screens feed supplied by SHMS for another sensitive event and 2 evening Balls with live screen visuals.

April 2011 - Conferences from £8.95 per person*
A fully produced conference for 120 people is not as expensive as you may think..
SHMS budget packages as pictured above includes a 6ft or 8ft screen and set system with a 4 x 2m stage and lectern. Sound system with 4 radio mics and seamless visual mixing between presentations. LED up lighting to a colour of your choice with stage lighting. All we need from you is the presentations in either Keynote or PowerPoint and branding, then we do the rest. A professional visual experience for your delegates.
*Prices are based on a daily rate per person and do not include travel or accommodation costs. Based on a minimum of 100 delegates per day.
March 2011 - New Single and Double screen sets
SHMS commitment towards BS8901 continues with the purchase of our new set systems. The flexibility of this frame set is paramount, and it can fit into any venue large or small. This is aluminium framed with lycra covers to create a solid flat wall effect, and different screen sizes.
This new set has many benefits in weight, transportation size and the environment. Creating 75% less space in the van compared to the more traditional wood framed sets. The covers will also last 15 years before the need for replacement, available in light reflecting silver & black.

February 2011 - Gearing up for the new season
SHMS is getting ready for 2011 with the purchase of a new live video mixing system using Edirol & Roland for mix & monitor. iMac and visual production software for recording and presentation. For award ceremonies this equipment will enhance mixing of live & recorded video with PowerPoint slides.
December 2010 - Burn Hall Tribute Night
Various tribute acts performed including Dirty Dancing & Re-Take That (pictured) on a stage system provided by SHMS on 8 nights.
Lighting and PA including Mac 250's LED flood lighting. HK Actor & Yamaha digital desk was also provided to limit the amount of set up and de-rig on each night. Every night was a sell out which has lead Burn Hall to book more tribute nights in 2011 including Queen & Rock nights in January & February. SHMS will also be working on some large marquee events at the Hotel in 2011 with 2 confirmed bookings for gala and theme nights.
November 2010 - York Maze Bonfire Night
The second event in a month for York Maze. SHMS provided PA and lighting systems with line array Nexo Geo S8 towers to play the music in time with the firework display & Minster FM radio station providing pre display entertainment. LED flood lights were used to up light the service marquees with par 64 outdoor floodlights on the stage area.
This is the 3rd year SHMS has produced the event with continued success and thanks from Tom Percy the Maze owner, hears to 2011.
October 2010 - York Maze Hallowscream Event
SHMS has provided various theme lighting for the two haunted houses including input into the design of the scare areas.
LED lighting has been used where possible due to electric restraints on site with UV canons and SHMS also provided lighting and PA for the fully produced stage show With "The Undertakers". Including Mac 250's, fresnels, LED uplighting and haze machine. The lighting was controlled by an Avolite Pearl Tiger with radio mics through a HK Actor system and Yamaha LS9.
The 4 night event was a huge success.
